Call for Abstracts

The EMSOS Scientific Committee invites you to take part in shaping the scientific programme by submitting your abstract. This is your chance to present your work, exchange ideas, and contribute to advancing knowledge in musculoskeletal oncology at an international level.

We welcome abstracts from both clinical and basic science, whether research is data-driven, case-based, or theoretical. Each submission will be carefully reviewed for its scientific relevance, methodology, and overall contribution. Final acceptance will be determined by content quality and programme balance.

Please note:
Presenting authors must complete their registration and payment in order to be included in the final programme.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

STEPS TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT

1. Create or login to your account using the options above

2. Click on "Submit Abstract(s)" option

3. Follow the steps and fill in all requested information

4. Tick all the required mandatory fields

5. Click to "Submit abstract" or save it as draft – do not forget to submit it prior the deadline
Note: You can login to update your abstract until the submission deadline.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS OF ABSTRACT

• Abstracts must be submitted via the online form only, abstracts submitted by email will not be accepted.

• A valid email address is required for all authors.

• EMSOS will contact the presenting authors using the email provided during submission.

• The number of submissions is limited to 3 per presenting author.

• The abstract must consist of:
            • Introduction/Background
            • Methodology
            • Results
            • Conclusion

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

• Since the abstracts will undergo a blind review, the text should not reveal the institutional affiliation or any of the researchers.

• Do not write all the text in CAPITAL LETTERS.

• The text and the title should be free from abbreviations, except those commonly used. It should concisely address the problem and the purpose of the study.

• EMSOS may reassign your abstract to a different category or presentation type.

Duplicate submissions will be automatically withdrawn.

• You can edit authorship and abstract content on the online platform until the submission deadline.

INFORMATION ON ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE

• Authors and co-authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection on the 15th February 2026.

• The presenting author of an accepted abstract must:
            • Register and attend the EMSOS Congress Lisboa 2026 otherwise the abstract
               will be excluded from the final scientific programme.
            • Present the abstract in the session and time assigned by the EMSOS Scientific
               Committee.
